Updraft was painted from a photo taken by a friend who camped some days in TN. She shot a photo of the timberline while looking down from a peak. I asked if I could borrow the photo as a source. Although the painting is much different from the photo, I always give Dorrie credit for this painting. The eagles were added as an afterthought. I don't apologize for using photos; if I can't be on location, photos are the next best thing. Thanks, Dorrie, for being attentive to the beauty around you; so many people are too busy to notice.
